The (New) Airport Park is located adjacent to the Abudhabi Airport Terminal-2 (see post's location for a map). The park is a bit unexplored and not THAT famous which is good in the sense that you wont see it packed with lots of people and you get your space.
The park is huge so you can have your pick of spots. There is also a cafeteria on the entrance. The entrance fee is 1/person. While entering the parking for the Park, you have to pass through an electronic ticketting gate, you have to get a ticket from the machine. Make sure to get it stamped from the ticketting officer at the park entrance (so that your parking is free and is not charged at the regular 10 AED/hour rate). This "waiver" is applicable in the park timings only, beyond that you have to pay/hour - this is probably to discourage people from (ab)using this parking as the long term airport parking.
There is a nice big artifical waterfall in the middle of the park, a unique feature. There are plenty of barbecue areas and swings/rides as well.
